A friend shared an article "10 Best Zichar Stalls in JB that you should try at least once in your Lifetime" by Goody Feed.

Goody Feed used 5 photographs from Johor Kaki blog without asking me for permission nor contacted me in any way. (People who have asked permission from me before to use my photographs know that I grant it readily.)

The top picture of the fried Hokkien mee from Pelangi City stall was used without my knowledge from my first post on this little zichar stall. This is the original Johor Kaki post <- click.

Indeed, Gerai Makanan Pelangi City 彩虹城 is one of my favourite zichar stalls in JB. It's in a little dark dingy place in JB's Taman Serene but the food is great and inexpensive. I brought friends here many times and they always love the food and experience. Just make sure that they are the type who are comfortable with a slightly messy environment :-D

The second photo is taken without my knowledge from my post on Restoran Ah Meng. This is the original Johor Kaki post <- click.

Ah Meng restaurant 阿明家乡小炒 is one of the most popular zichar places among JB locals. Ah Meng is the son-in-law of Ah Kaw who is himself a legend in the world of JB zichar. Ah Kaw was reputedly the inventor of the iconic san low chao tah mee hoon. You might also be interested to check out Restoran Ah Kaw for great zichar <- click.

Picture of Pekan Nanas Nanas' legendary grilled stingray taken without my knowledge from my post on Tao Yuan Grill Fish 桃源铁板烧鱼 . This is the original Johor Kaki post <- click. (Tao Yuan is in Pekan Nanas Nanas, not JB.)

Restoran Tao Yuan's grilled stingray is always sold out and we missed it even when we arrived before the stall opened. The trick is to phone hp: 012-765 1335 and book the fish ahead of time. Worth the 3 hour return trip from JB.

Picture of Mui Seng's claim to fame - their Nyonya curry fish head taken without my knowledge from my post on this little stall. This is the original Johor Kaki post <- click.

This little inconspicuous stall tucked in a corner of Taman Melodies is a 15 minute leisurely walk from KSL City mall. Try Mui Seng if you like to go local and escape from the usual tourist traps.

Ah.... that gorgeous pork curry from the great Qiu Bo Curry House. Picture was taken from Johor Kaki blog without my permission by johor48.rssing.com. I do not know if Goody Feed in turn sought permission from johor48.rssing.com. This is the original Johor Kaki post <- click.

Qiu Bo Curry House is another of the old JB zichar stalwarts with a strong local following. A little far north in Ulu Tiram. But, it is not far from Jusco Tebrau City mall. So, if you are shopping there at JB's largest shopping mall, then Qiu Bo is just another 5 minutes drive further north. Opens only for lunch. Glorious old school food.

->> Check out the zichar restaurants of JB. The ingredients are fresh, the chefs are experienced and skillful, and prices are reasonable too.

->> Till now, Goody Feed persists in stealing Johor Kaki content, except that they now leave out the pictures to cover themselves.

  2. Dear Tony,

Perhaps you and other aggrieved bloggers should set up a name and shame website highlighting copyright infringement. Put up the evidence like you have here and let the court of public opinion do the rest...

    Keep up the good work.

I firmly believe that taste is subjective and so, warmly welcome differing viewpoints :-D But, I disapprove negative comments that are anonymous or hide behind fake identities. I feel that that is the same as speaking ill of others behind their backs. I look forward to all your comments :-D Thank you. (Date: 18 Dec 2015)
