That's more than 15 years ago but I still can remember how tender those meatballs were, which is why it came up during a recent family dinner, which led me to Google out of curiosity. Thank you so much for this Johor Kaki - it's fascinating to learn about the rich, rich history behind this bowl of beef noodles!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-564826827484078485.post-56461012977497409012021-01-24T14:06:42.616+08:002021-01-24T14:06:42.616+08:00Hi there, I'm one of the descendants of Tan Ji...Hi there, I'm one of the descendants of Tan Jin Seah, now 20 years old. I have vivid memories of the coffee shop but just couldn’t remember which street it was on and couldn’t understand why there was no street in town that looked vaguely like it. Now I know why! The street was demolished.
The coffee shop was a big part of my childhood as my parents often took my brother and I there after visiting the National Library. Thanks for jolting my memory. It means a lot to me.
Keep up the great work!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
