Soupy pork noodles are everywhere in Bangkok as they are tasty and affordable.
Stumbled upon this little stall just outside our hotel off Silom Road.
Grandma ran her stall for at least two decades. There are a few seats outside on the five foot way.
Some more seats inside and I quickly realised that it was actually a ladies' hair saloon. So Grandma's noodle shop customers spillover into the hairdresser's shop.
This is so unique!
The clear pork soup which is the soul of the humble dish was savoury sweet, mostly savoury and sugar is provided, if you want it sweeter.
The ingredients like fish ball, pork liver, lean pork balls were all good.
After eating, the lady beside me cleared her bowls and utensils, and wiped the table clean. Amazingly, most customers will do that to help Grandma. Such a gracious community without the need for laws and fines for public spiritedness.
