Readers who are fans of Prima Taste Singapore Laksa La Mian Instant Noodle have been suggesting that I give this a try. Finally, bought a pack today. This noodle retails at SGD2.85 or RM7.40 a packet which is significantly more expensive than the average instant noodle.
Inside the packet are the noodle block and two large sachets.
The noodle block is clean looking and completely grease free. The packet label said it is made with "steam and air-dry" technology.
The rempah (spicy curry paste) gave off a lovely hae bee (dried shrimp paste) and curry spice fragrance when I cut open the large sachet.
From the large sachet of "laksa premix" - it looked like coconut milk powder.
The hot aromatic bowl of instant laksa noodles ready in 10 minutes.
The round noodles were relatively fat and heavier than the average instant noodle. They were tender with a gummy texture and little spring.
The clean tasting noodles have a slight wheat flavour. The noodles were enveloped by the aromatic and flavoursome laksa broth, making them slurpingly delicious.
The flavourful broth had the flavours of hae bee (sun dried shrimp), curry spices and coconut milk. The aroma and taste closely resembled those curry laksa served by Malaysia and Singapore street hawkers. The broth was mildly spicy hot.
The creamy broth was heavy bodied from the coconut milk.
According to the label on the packet, Prima Taste Singapore Laksa La Mian contains no artificial flavourings, no artificial colouring and no added preservatives. I am giving this instant noodle full marks here.

i've tried their laksa lamian before and i agree that it's really good! it's pretty pricey but def worth it considering they use paste instead of seasoning powder and it's healthy than the normal instant noodle. they also have 2 other flavours but i've not tried them before. if you have pls do a review on them so i know whether to buy them or not :P

Deleteoh, I gave full marks for this instant noodle for using no artificial flavourings, no artificial colouring and no added preservatives. The rating includes another 10 more criteria like quality of noodles, garnishing, aroma and so on.
