This is one of my JB makan buddy Keng Chong's favourite curry laksa. When KC recommends something, I can't wait to check it out 😄
Auntie Amy's Curry Laksa is a food truck parked just outside the Subway outlet at Jalan Austin Heights 3 from 7pm to 11pm except for Tuesday.
(There is ample free parking around the food truck.)
For RM6 (small serving) and RM7 (large), we get a bowl of curry laksa packed with robust flavours.
At Amy's, the all important laksa broth has a full round body. It is chicken broth thickened with generous amounts of coconut milk and spices.
The broth has robust spicy flavours from loads of hot curry spices. It is balanced by sweetness from coconut milk. Fresh onion, ginger, garlic, lemon grass etc add aromatics to the power packed curry laksa broth.
In the bowl of curry laksa, there are tau pok, tau kee, tau hu, fish balls, fish cake slices, fresh cockles and also a bit of chicken meat. So loaded!
Even the chili paste is loaded with good stuff. It is solidly packed with lemon grass, dried chili peppers etc that gives a nice spicy punch.
4-Star (out of 5) Indeed, this is one of the best curry laksa that I have tasted in Malaysia and Singapore. If you like robust flavours in a milky broth, I am confident that you will like Amy's Curry Laksa too. Thick full body, loads of ingredients and richly packed with flavours and aromas. Got kick. Must Try!
Thank you bro KC for the recommendation!
