Perched on the 60th floor of Banyan Tree Hotel Kuala Lumpur at Jalan Conlay.
Stepping onto the roof terrace of Vertigo, we were greeted with a 360° panorama of Kuala Lumpur's stunning skyline, spread out like a magic carpet of sparkling jewels stretching to the horizon.
Decades already, I never tire of Kuala Lumpur's skyline. There is an air of familiarity, even nostalgia.
The grand dames, age defying PETRONAS Twin Towers, many will be surprised that they are 27 years old now (opened in 1998).
Still elegant, still beautiful, and still the most glittering pair at KL's skyscraper party (in my humble opinion).
KL Tower, elegant, almost aloof and confident in its own zone.
Opened in 1991 (34 years ago), still turning eyes.
While we are still enamoured with PETRONAS Twin Towers and KL Tower, new beauties rose to vie for our attention.
Merdeka 118 tower joined the party in 2024.
In my opinion, Merdeka 118 is prettiest by day as KL's tropical sun show off her curves best.
Another sparkling gem adorning the KL skyline is Exchange 106 (part of TRX or Tun Razak Exchange) opened in 2019.
The top four tallest buildings in Malaysia, catch them all at the Vertigo:
1. Merdeka 118 (second tallest building in the world)
2. PETRONAS Twin Towers
3. Exchange 106
4. KL Tower.
High scores for Vertigo's breathtaking panorama and its rooftop bar is no sloth either. Enjoy the dazzling show of light-dressed skyscrapers while sipping innovative handcrafted cocktails, nibbling Asian-inspired tapas, and specialty drinks including mocktails.
That's KL life at the Vertigo.
