🇪🇸 14 Nov 2023 🇸🇬 Beef from Spain night was the grand finale of the month long EatSpainDrinkSpain 2023 festivities which ran from 15 Oct to 15 Nov.
It's a night to celebrate two significant achievements. Beef from Spain has received the green light for export from the Singapore Food Agency, so Spanish beef exports to Singapore is poised to expand.
At the same time, 16 Spanish restaurants in Singapore were awarded the Certified Restaurants from Spain title this year. The prominence of Spanish cuisine, wine and produce in Singapore is set to grow. All good news for food and wine lovers in Singapore.
Beef from Spain night and success of EatSpainDrinkSpain month was celebrated at UNA Spanish restaurant at the beautiful Alkaff Mansion on 14 Nov 2023.
Her Excellency Mercedes Alonso Frayle ambassador of Spain to Singapore graced the grand event which was attended by the who's who of the Spanish food and beverage industry in Singapore, their Singaporean partners and the visiting Spanish delegation.
Jose Ramon Godoy, director of internationalisation of Provacuno addressed the gathering. Provacuno, the Agro-food Inter-professional Organization of the Spanish Beef Industry, consists of national associations that represent 85% of companies from the production, industrial and commercial sectors of beef in Spain.
Director Godoy led six top Spanish beef companies to Singapore, namely Fribin, El Encinar de Humienta, Elpozo Alimentacion, S.A., Grup Viñas, Vinals Soler and ECMedina.
Antonio Garcia Rebollar, head of the Spanish trade and commercial office in Singapore was instrumental in promoting beef exports from Spain to Singapore and was also the leading man behind the EatSpainDrinkSpain month in Singapore.
Olga Baniandres, Counsellor for Agriculture in Singapore.

Spain is the fifth largest beef producer in the European Union and its sixth largest exporter. These rankings are bound to rise with the efforts of Provacuno and growing awareness of the irresistible quality of beef from Spain.

Many prestigious chefs choose Spanish beef for their star dishes.
Our wonderful dinner was presented by Michelin Starred Spanish chef Kisko Garcia and hosted by Executive Chef Tom Kung of UNA and 1-Atico.
Refreshing Melon con Sangria appetizer.
Steak tartare.
Spanish beef is flavourful, tender, juicy and easily digestible.
Striploin with Japanese Spanish Sauce.
Sirloin with Cafe de Paris Sauce. Doesn't that remind you of a succulent scallop?
Provacuno has a certification programme for compliance with animal welfare. Better animal welfare leads to better quality, and tastier meat.
Tuxleta ribeye from Basque country.
More flavour, more texture from older cows (8 - 16 years old). Am still thinking about this delicious meat 🤤
Milky sweet Tres Leches Fritula dessert.
I couldn't help myself from taking additional sniffs at the alluringly refreshing, cheerfully fragrant smell of fruit and berries of Aalto 2020 🤠The wine tastes fruity of grapes with spice, slightly savoury and tannic.
Blas Garcia Zornoza is one of the key men from the Spain trade office and embassy who put tonight's successful event together.
Enjoyed EatSpainDrinkSpain month in 2023 and looking forward to more beef from Spain 😋
