Roast Duck @ Sin Keong Kee in Kulai, Johor

Sin Keong Kee's roast duck and meats have a loyal following who feels strongly that it is the best in Kulai, and some even say, the best they've tasted anywhere.

I was at Sin Keong Kee well passed lunch time, and yet there was a steady stream of customers, young and old, coming and going.

Just look at Sin Keong Kee's famous siew yoke 烧肉 (roast belly meat) and char siew 叉烧 (roast pork). Make your mouth water, don't they?

I observed that the meats and duck were carefully cut to ensure the customers get only the good cuts. The duck was meticulously deboned, and mine even had soft crunchy cartilage attached, which I like J

This set of rice with a generous portion of boneless roast duck and soup was RM5.

The roast duck meat was juicy, naturally sweet and has a pleasant subtle herbal taste. The meat was tender and has a nice smoky flavour and feel. It was delicious.

This time around, I only had room in my stomach for the roast duck. I must come back to Sin Keong Kee's, and must not miss their siew yoke and char siew, next time J
