Ms Bobby invited me to visit Thistle Port Dickson Resort (Malaysia) and try out the Valentine Dinner presented by Glass Restaurant.
Chef Rizuan and his team have created a special Valentine dinner named, "A True Night of Romance". The special Valentine dinner costs RM350++ per couple.
Dinner starts with "Romeo's Love Bouquet".
A colourful bouquet of mixed spring salad tossed with shredded crab meat set on eggplant caponata accompanied with a shelled water prawn pan seared in virgin olive oil and served with sweet sour dressing.
Next followed "A Steamy Affair".
It's creamy fresh asparagus soup with house made tortellini pasta filled with chicken and baby leek eaten with toasted garlic bread.
Enjoy house made lime sorbet palate cleanser before the mains.
For the mains, there is a choice of beef, chicken or fish.
For beef eaters, there is the wholesome "Twosome".
Char broiled beef medallions on gratin potato topped with lobster and wild mushroom ragout served with veal jus sauce and balsamic reduction.
The New Zealand tenderloin done medium rare.
Chicken lovers can have the "Miracle of Love".
Stuffed chicken breast with shrimp, mushroom and pistachio served with mashed sweet potato, French beans and roasted capsicum sauce.
Fish lovers can opt for the "Marriage of Land and Sea".
Pan roasted salmon fillet and sea scallop set on parsley, mashed asparagus, topped with fennel pickle, veal jus sauce and a drizzle of black truffle oil.
The "Heart Flutter" shared dessert to set hearts aflutter.
Charming kissing swans accompanied with chocolate velvet cake and served with strawberry coulis.
The grand finale is a surprise which I shall not reveal ;-D
