So glad to find Min Kee 明记茶室 as it is a good place for breakfast before boarding that early morning flight out of Senai International Airport.

Min Kee is off busy Jalan Senai 10 which is at the overhead pedestrian bridge along Lebuhraya Senai (Senai Highway).
Restoran Min Kee and Restoran Evon is side by side. (I am not sure what Restoran Evon serves as it was closed when I was there.)
Five foot way eating outside Restoran Min Kee. I love small town eating like this.
Inside Min Kee coffee shop, a breakfast scene repeated all over Malaysia.
Ms Chen's family runs this stall in Min Kee for over thirty years. The little coffee shop serves pork noodle soup and also curry laksa.
This morning we tried only the curry laksa as we have a lunch appointment. RM5.50 for the largest serving. (Shall be back for the pork noodle soup.)
This curry laksa is good!
The curry is solidly packed with well balanced sweet, savoury and spicy flavours. The curry is thick and creamy - so heavy, I think it will help us sleep on that flight out of Senai.
The sambal chili that comes with the curry laksa is good too. Freshly made, has a distinct crustacean taste, mildly spicy.

The curry laksa is garnished with generic, unremarkable fish ball, pork ball, tau pok and roughly chopped pieces of char siew. There is no see hum (cockles).
Ms Chen said that this style is tuned to the preference of the local residents in Senai.
Min Kee's curry laksa broth makes everything tastes good.
We have a lunch appointment but couldn't resist another bowl of Min Kee's laksa.
This time we tried curry laksa with loh see fun ("rat tail" noodles 老鼠粉). This is my first time having curry laksa with loh see fun.
It's fun :-D
Look Ma, no chopsticks.
Reminds of curry laksa in Singapore, where the thick bee hoon is cut into stubby short strands so that it can be scooped up with a Chinese style soup spoon.
Min Kee's curry laksa broth makes anything tastes good :-D
While you are here, get a coffee. It's got body, nice aroma and tastes good too.
->> If you are in the Senai area, Min Kee is a place for a solid laksa and good coffee. The laksa is creamy with coconut milk and loaded with aromatic spices.
