Today go where to eat Durian in Johor Bahru? 今天新山去哪里吃榴莲?
Woohoo! it's durian season.
I am going around eating durians in JB and sharing the pictures here 😊
☞ I am checking out randomly the durian stalls I stumble upon during this season and reporting exactly what happened at each stall so readers know what to expect. I am no durian expert 😄
Yi Foon Trading
Address: Car park bounded by Jalan Dedap 14, 15, 16 and 25 in Taman Johor Jaya, JB
☎ 016 766 6092
GPS: 1.542381, 103.799650 / 1°32'32.6"N 103°47'58.7"E
👉Large temporary stall. Tables and chairs available. Nice canopy to keep the sun or rain out. Fans to keep everybody cool. Water for hand washing, tissue paper and complimentary cups of drinking water provided.
🚙 It's at a parking lot, so there's ample parking space.
Our Mao Shan Wang durian 猫山王 RM49.
Taste balanced between bitter and sweet, leaning on slightly more bitterness. Flavour has depth and aftertaste. Flesh is creamy and fresh. Seeds were quite big.
Our "Old Lady" durian 老太婆 RM26.
Bitter sweet taste well balanced, leaning slightly on sweet. Flesh is fresh but less dense than the Mao Shan Wang and depth of flavour is less intense. Seeds quite big.
