After an unsuccessful food hunt this morning, I fell back on an old favourite 唐記雞絲河粉 Tang Kee Chicken Hor Fun stall in Old Eight in One Restaurant coffee shop at Johor Jaya Rosmerah. I fell in love again with Tang Kee's rendition of the Ipoh classic. The more I tried food beyond JB, the more confident I am about the quality of food here - it's just that we need to seek them out one by one.
I drove by Restoran KaPoh in Johor Jaya, Jalan Dedap 7, dozens of times but never knew that it is a nice little Ipoh eatery until JB foodie veterans Derrick and Kim pointed it out to us. That's the thing - many times in life, good things are right there in front of us but we just couldn't see it until someone enlightened us. Thanks Derrick and Kim.
Came back for a visit at one of my favourite stalls in JB, a small no name stall serving Ipoh style kueh teow soup at New Star Food Court coffee shop 新星美食中心 at Taman Sentosa.
Running an errand near Taman Sentosa and needing a light breakfast, I recalled this little stall in New Star Food Court 新星美食中心 coffee shop which serves tasty Ipoh kuey teow soup and prawn mee soup.
