This was our sumptuous dinner at Piman Terrace at Rancho Charnvee Resort & Country Club before calling it a day in Khao Yai, and returning to Bangkok the next morning 😄 It was a nice capping stone to an interesting 3 day, 2 night trip to Khao Yai.

I will write a separate article of our Khao Yai itinerary. Khao Yai is like "Little Europe" as it has cool "Alpine climate". hills (national park), waterfalls, flower gardens, European themed aesthetic cafes, restaurants, bars and homestays / hotels.

Piman Terrace's decor is like a tarven type of establishment during the horse drawn carriage era. Rustic Western frontier town feel.

There's a well stocked poolside bar.

The bar and entire terrace are under the canopy of a giant Piman tree, hence the name Piman Terrace.

We can see part of the overhanging Piman tree canopy here.

I like the casual poolside ambiance with movie screening. We enjoyed a delicious and fun evening here.

The dishes were prepared in the kitchen of Chez Sonia, a fine Tuscany (southern) Italian restaurant (at the other end of the pool, just steps away from Piman Terrace).

Fine food, casual poolside vibes - the best of both worlds.

I love freshly baked sourdough with olive oil and balsamic vinegar so much that I sometimes unknowingly made myself half full before the main courses were served 😂

Nibbled at crisp outside and chewy inside Calamari Fritti to start our salivary glands cranking 😄

Buratta Salad. Bursty creamy burrata cheese on a carpet of fresh juicy cherry tomatoes drenched in olive oil 😋

Lobster Spaghetti or Spaghetti alla Aragosta THB1590++ (around SGD62++).

Chez Sonia's signature dish, the pasta was done al dente, enveloped in a savoury subtly tangy sauce with lots of fresh cherry tomatoes. The centrepiece was a whole meaty, succulent Maine lobster.
