Peking Duck in Singapore · Kai Duck @ Nee Ann City near Takashimaya Orchard Road 嘉苑美鸭

Been to Kai Duck twice for their signature Peking duck. Both times I enjoyed myself. The food was delicious and service was good. I look forward to be back.

After a heavy lunch and some shopping, we went to Honolulu Cafe at Centrepoint for the obligatory pit stop. I can never resist a good Hong Kong milk tea and egg tart, but this was my first time at Honolulu Cafe.

You know, when we want to find a nice restaurant nowadays, we instinctively reach for our phones (how did relying on a digital sidekick become a human instinct so quickly?🤔). I've often heard it said that in this day and age, if something is not on the worldwide web, it doesn't exist.

Well, today I am reminded again that we haven't quite reached that stage yet - but heading there. There still exist nice restaurants and places that people in the know, know...., but have a low social media or internet presence. Jade Palace @ Forum is one such fine restaurant.

I love to sketch and love to eat (who doesn't?), so I thought combining the two activities would be having the best of both worlds. Today, I watched a prominent Singapore sketching group, Scenic Rangers 猎景骑兵, enjoy both at Noodle Place at Orchard Gateway. (No, I didn't sketch today lah - the thought of sketching, tasting, taking photos, taking notes all at once is still too daunting for me now 😂 )

Yusof Arni's Malay Food Stall • Best Food in Orchard Road Singapore ⭐⭐⭐⭐✱

At the edge of Orchard Road in Singapore, and we were scratching our heads about what to eat in "shoppers' paradise". Yes, there are countless choices in Orchard Road - it's just that we wanted something local and homely. Always resourceful Uncle Martin suggested Yusof Arni's and my mind instantly switched to that little enclave in Far East Plaza where locals flock to in Orchard Road for comforting meals.
