World's Largest Bak Kut Teh Brand Opens 19th Outlet in Eco Botanic Nusajaya Johor
Had lunch today at the newest Shoon Huat bak kut teh 顺发肉骨茶 outlet at Eco Botanic City in Iskandar Puteri (Nusajaya), Johor. This is Shoon Huat's nineteenth outlet. So, that actually makes this homegrown JB brand, the largest BKT chain in the world. Amazing, am I right?

Johor Bahru has many bak kut teh shops (more than in Singapore perhaps because it's a bigger part of people's diet here than south of the Causeway). There are many bak kut teh brand names and the best known one in JB is probably 顺发 (Soon Huat spelt various ways) with over twenty branches all over the city.
