What to do in Sungai Lembing & Itinerary

I am joining Adventure Village's tour to Sungai Lembing in Pahang state, Malaysia. I am planning the food stops and slotting them into Adventure Village's itinerary 😁

As I have not been to Sungai Lembing before, the plan is based on web resources and advice from friends and Johor Kaki readers. Thank you 🙏 to friends who responded to my calls for help. When I return, I will re-blog about my Sungai Lembing trip with actual personal experiences on the ground.

Stumbled upon a nice, simple hand made fish ball noodle stall at Jalan Kilang Nenas this morning.

Visited Chicken Up Johor Bahru, the hugely popular Korean themed food joint from Singapore (where it has 7 outlets). The first Chicken Up outlet in JB was very well received, where it saw long queues since it opened a couple of months ago. 

JB Beggar Chicken @ Jalan Impian Emas 22 • Ban Heong Seng Bungalow is History 万香城

✍️ 7 Aug 2024. There was a time when foodie trips to JB was deemed to "lack something" if it didn't include a meal at Ban Heong Seng's beggar chicken at their old bangalow house along Jalan Skudai.

Michelin Star Meal for USD1.50? A French Revolution in Singapore 😆

It's been three days since the announcement on 21 Jul 2016 but I am still over the moon about Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodles 香港油雞飯麵 winning a Michelin Star in the inaugural Singapore Michelin Guide 2016.

I have a quirk of rooting for underdogs.

This is such an inspiring story in so many ways.

Famous Beef Noodles in Tangkak Johor 东甲牛腩面

Made a detour off the North South Expressway to Tangkak town for another taste of the famous Kuang Fei beef noodles 东甲牛腩面. Kuang Fei has branches in KL, Malacca and Kluang. This restaurant in Tangkak is the founding shop.

Finally had a chance to taste 545 Whampoa Prawn Noodles at Tekka Market today right after my medical appointment. So happy to manage to catch the last few bowls before the stall closes at 2:00pm 😃
