Finally, after missing this asam fish for three years, I got to taste it again at "Come and Eat" Teochew porridge shop at the old three storey flats in Stulang Laut, Johor Bahru.

Updated 28 May 2019. Today, I came to Come and Eat restaurant with a group of makan kakis (foodie buddies). I love the old school Teochew porridge here and wanted my friends to enjoy it too. Since it's a Thursday, I also wanted to eat their famous assam fish which I missed so much (available only on Thursdays).

Come and Eat restaurant at the old 3-storey flats 三楼 at Stulang Laut haven't changed much, if at all, since my last visit in 2012. Same friendly place for affordable casual dining filled with regulars.

I have Singapore readers in mind when I wrote this post as it is about a traditional Teochew dish very hard to find in Singapore nowadays and another dish that is no longer sold in Singapore.

These dishes are traditional suah heer kiam chye curry and pork blood curd which are available in Teochew porridge stalls in Malaysia.
