Every time I am in Batam (though I must admit I haven't been there that many times), I inevitably ended up at a coffee shop near Pasar Penuin Wet Market which locals call 榕树下 or "under the banyan tree". There are a few popular food stalls at Kopitiam Long Shu Siah - one of them is Cha Kue "Abun".

Review Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh ● Pork Rib Soup Eating House

Singapore Bak Kut Teh @ Ng Ah Sio Pork Rib Soup Eating House

There were moments of tension - the car was rolling at a steady clip along CTE (Central Expressway) and we haven't made up our minds on where to eat 😱 I felt the most tension because I am the "food blogger" 🙄

There were simply far too many options in Singapore foodie paradise - some suggestions were passed over because we had eaten there recently, other proposals got cool responses because we weren't thinking of ever going back there again. Then, we struck upon the idea of Ng Ah Sio bak kut teh.

The new KL Hokkien mee stall at Hoa Kee coffee shop in Taman Gaya, Ulu Tiram has been getting good response from JB foodies.
