During my trip to Poland in Dec 2019, I tasted Silesian dumplings for the first time. I was struck by how Silesian dumplings and Hakka abacas seeds resembled each other. When I returned home to Singapore, I decided to make Silesian dumplings with a local twist.
The goose showcase by chef Piotr Lenart at Gozdawa Palace (at Łochocin) was one of the memorable highlights of my trip to Poland in Dec 2019. A deprived goose lover from Singapore where no goose is sold, I had been looking forward to this goose festa since I saw it in the trip itinerary.

I long loved gingerbread but it's only at age 59 that I found out how gingerbread should really taste like when I had it in Torun, Poland 😄 It's also just now that I learned that the tasty bread / biscuit and Christmas tradition has such a rich history and connection with Asia.
Just a tavern restaurant on Expressway 61 which runs northeast from Warsaw to the border with Lithuania. Away from the city (45km north of Warsaw), Karczma Pod Strzecha Zaprasza serves sincere wholesome, tasty traditional Polish food. This was one of the memorable meals during my 5 day trip to Poland.
Poland renowned for its national drink vodka, is also famous for its beers and microbreweries. The beer capital of Poland is Gdansk, a seaport on its northern Baltic sea coast. Brovarnia Gdańsk is a good place to experience the best of Polish beer and traditional food.

My first time in Poland, first night in Warsaw and my first meal in a Polish restaurant, Mokotowska 69. After 2 months of anticipation since we began planning for the trip, expectations were sky high. Mokotowska 69 was exactly the type of charming warm local culinary experiences I was looking forward to.
Five wonderful days in Poland, it was too soon time for goodbyes 😪 We had our farewell party at Zoni in Warsaw, reputedly the most beautiful restaurant in the city.
