We went to visit the spanking new AEON Mall at Bandar Dato' Onn in JB, and stopped for lunch at the OLEG by gCafe outlet on the 2nd floor. It turned out that the charcoal burgers and waffles at OLEG are quite interesting and tasty. We like it 😄

OLEG is a contemporary casual eatery serving premium burgers, waffles, small bites, snacks, cold drinks and coffee.
We had OLEG's signature Soft Shell Crab Charcoal Burger. The set comes with fries and an ice lemon tea for RM17.90+.
We could hardly see the golden brown, deep fried soft shell crab as it was buried in bonito flakes and mayonnaise.
Between the pillowy soft sweet charcoal bun there's lettuce, deep fried soft shell crab, mayonnaise and a heap of savoury bonito flakes.
It's an interesting blend sweet, savoury with a bit of tanginess from the mayonnaise. The soft shell crab was well fried, so there was no oil trapped inside the crab. We could taste a bit of the crab's natural sweetness. This burger is likeable and interesting.
We also had OLEG's Double O'Beef burger. It costs RM19.90+ with fries and ice lemon ice.
Between the house made charcoal bun are two beef patties made with pure ground beef. The freshly grilled beefy patties blend well with the crunchy cucumber slices, leafy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and savoury cheese.
Wooo..... the oozy cheese.
The double beef burger is already tasty and we can still add additional sauces for more kick. OLEG have 10 different types of sauces for RM1 per small container. We had Wasabi Mustard for a gentle spicy kick.
Other flavours are Signature Spicy, Honey Mustard, Signature Curry, Cream of Tartar etc.
We also shared a Waffle O' Club set (price RM17.90 per set with fries and ice lemon tea).
This was soo.... rich... that heap of eggy sweet egg mayonnaise. Slices of sweet grilled pumpkin, crispy bits of savoury turkey ham, and savoury sweet grilled chicken breast add interesting flavours and textures to the waffle sandwich.
OLEG's waffle has medium thickness, is light and crisp. It has slight savoury sweetness.
Egg mayo and waffle lovers must try this.
O' Bowl is an edible crispy tortilla bowl filled with grilled chicken breast, tender spongy mushrooms, and mash potato dressed with mayonnaise and cheese. (Price RM9.90+.)
Good tasty snack between meals or when you only want a light meal.
👉 OLEG by gCafe is a good choice for a quick interesting bite while shopping in City Square, AEON Tebrau City or AEON Dato' Onn. We enjoyed ourselves at OLEG. Hip comfortable casual ambiance, convenient locations, tasty food at reasonable prices.
