Delicious Grain Bowls from Manna Pot Catering Home Delivery

We had grain bowls from Manna Pot Catering for lunch today. This was our first time trying Manna Pot Catering and were delighted with our simple, light but delicious meal.

We just had 2 grain bowls. They come neatly packed and sent right up to our doorstep free of charge. Came with 2 complimentary bottles of yuzu honey drink.

There's lots of varieties to choose from - beef, chicken, salmon etc. We had smoked duck and prawns.

Smoked duck breast on a bed of pasta aglio olio topped with a citrus salad of mesclun greens, orange segments, citrus vinaigrette, roasted walnuts.

We ate the grain bowl without heating. The fusilli pasta was tenderly firm with a slight spring to the bite. Clean, subtle taste of wheat with a bit of citrusy zest from tossing the contents in the bowl with the small tub of citrus vinaigrette. I wish there was a bit more salad dressing.

Every green, fruit and vegetable in the bowl was fresh and naturally tasty.

I am long a fan of smoked duck, and this from Manna Pot Catering is a good one. Tender and juicy, flavourful with rich savoury sweet smokey taste yet it is not overly flat salty (a common problem of not so good smoked duck).

The flavourful smoked duck together with the pasta and greens make this a delicious dish.

Garlic shrimp over classic Greek salad of Romaine lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, pickled onion, olives, and feto cheese.

It's a nice refreshing crunchy salad balanced with savoury notes from the feto cheese, and most of all we were impressed with the shrimps. They were good size crustaceans, shelled, the meat was crunchy, naturally sweet and the juices in the head was rich with umami flavour.
