How to Take Public Bus to Changi Airport Budget Terminal T4?

Take bus 24, 27, 34, 36, 53, 110, or 858 to Changi Airport T2 basement bus stop. Take the lift to level 1 and take the T4 shuttle bus (from the bus stop located beside the T2 multi-storey carpark). The T4 shuttle bus runs round the clock. This service between T2 and T4 is complimentary (free of charge).

Step by step details.

Terminal T2 basement where the bus stops are located. Changi Airport is served by public buses 24, 27, 34, 36, 53, 110, and 858.

Cross the road to the T2 terminal building.

Inside the T2 building basement, follow the signages pointing to Bus to Terminal 4.

Follow the signages.

The signs will take you to a lift lobby that takes you to level 1.

Go to level L1 (which is also the T2 arrival hall).

After exiting the lift, immediately turn to your right.

Follow the signage to walk straight ahead along the terminal 4 building.

You will reach the end of the terminal 4 building.

Follow the sign to veer to your left.

Next, keep walking straight ahead to the end where the multi-storey carpark is located.

This is the bus stop. View from inside the T2 building level L1.

The shuttle bus is a direct "express" service between T2 and T4 from 6am to 12 midnight

Between 12 midnight to 6am, the shuttle bus is a loop service looping through, stopping at all terminals from 1, 2, 3, to 4 as well as Jewel shopping and dining mall.

This is the "express" shuttle bus schedule with the departure time from T2 between 6am and 12 midnight.

The shuttle bus stop at T2.

The bus pulls into the T2 bus bay a few minutes before departure time.

The shuttle has seats and luggage racks. Those times I took the shuttle, it departed the T2 bus stop right on schedule 👍

Between 6am and 12 midnight, the shuttle bus goes direct from T2 to T4 (no stop in between). The journey takes about 5 minutes. (Note: It is not possible to walk to T4 from the other terminals or from Jewel.)

The shuttle bus stop is at door 1 of the T4 departure hall.

The departure hall from row one (super convenient drop off point).

Though not connected to the other terminals by mono rail, the T4 Budget Terminal is equally well equipped as the other terminals in terms of traveller comfort and amenities such as up-to-date auto self check-in, cafeteria, lounges, etc.

It just takes a little more planning and time, if you are coming here by public bus. If you are coming here by taxi or personal car, then T4 is no different from the other terminals at all.

Bon voyage 🛫

  1. If one is taking bus 24, why the need to drop off at T2 and take the T2 T4 connecting bus? Bus 24 stops at T4.
