One Night at Talula Hill Farm Resort in Kluang ● Terraces at Gunung Lambak Foothills

Spent a night at Talula Hill Farm Resort during my recent excursion in Kluang. Social media is abuzz with the newest destination in Kluang.

Talula Hill Farm Resort Kluang

Address: PTD 40612, Jalan Padang Tembak, 86000 Kluang, Johor, Malaysia

Tel: +6019 375 5818

🌍 Corporate Website

When we stepped in, the first thing that came to my mind was the rice terraces of Bali. I am not sure if it inspired the design but it sure looked like the tranquil Balinese rice terraces.

The admin block has a cafe, and reception.

The rooms are a short 3 to 5 minute walk from the reception but buggies (golf cart) are available on call, free of charge.

Walking around the resort is nice but if you have luggage with you, the buggy is handy.

The service roads in the resort are quite sloppy. Good leg exercise if you walk around the resort.

There is a mini aviary with geese and exotic birds.

A small fishing pond.

It's not a big resort. Just a few low rise blocks of accommodations with 16 cabins in total.

They have deluxe (2 single beds), loft (2 single + 1 king size beds), and group (4 single beds) cabins. Check in time is 3pm, check out time is up to 12 noon.

Most of the rooms have views of the surrounding hills and terraces.

I had a deluxe room with two single beds.

It's clean, spacious and there were no bad smells. I didn't have insect or mosquito problems even though it is a hill resort.

The en suite toilet and shower were well equipped to hotel standard with full amenities including toiletries. Air conditioner was powerful and worked well to cool the room down quickly, silently.

There was no TV but it is not something I miss as I don't watch much TV anyway.

At the reception, they primed us that the wifi signal will be weak but in my room I didn't have any problem at all.

The room comes with breakfast which is served in the community / event hall. However, I didn't take breakfast here as I wanted to save stomach space for breakfast in nearby Paloh 🤭

I did browsed the buffet breakfast spread. There was a good variety of bread, cereal and local delights like nasi lemak, fried noodles, and side dishes like curries. They looked delicious and I struggled a bit to save stomach for the breakfast in Paloh that was already booked for us 😬

Talula Hill Farm Resort is a welcome addition to accommodation options for people visiting Kluang for trekking Gunung Lambak hill or food trail or combining both.

This track at the Chinese temple beside Talula Hill Farm Resort is one of the entry / exit points of Gunung Lambak hill.

I have an idea. For your next birthday or anniversary celebration, why not a one night trip to Kluang? Have a memorable two day celebration instead of going to a restaurant or mall again. You can eat, shop a bit, walk a lot, drink coffee, eat cake, enjoy fine dining and stay in a resort like Talula.

You can leave all the planning and arrangements to Evvone and Sarah who are Klangites and authours of the award winning book Asian Pies👈 You can reach Evvone on Facebook 👈
