I am so glad our Thai hosts brought us to this group of food trucks at the carpark at the intersection of Chalathat Road and Thaleluang Road at Chalathat Beach near Songkhla Lake.

Here we were on Google Earth - carpark at the intersection of Chalathat and Thaleluang with a clump of trees on the right and Chalathat Beach in front.

The place was very orderly, clean and looked well established.

There were around ten food trucks here serving a variety of breakfast dishes and drinks.

The idea was to buy our food and drinks from the food trucks and enjoy them in a spot on Chalathat Beach, under the trees, with a beach and sea view.

Great idea.

We fanned out and ordered various dishes from different trucks.

I like everything we had here, especially the chicken porridge. The texture of the rice gruel was just two steps away from Cantonese congee so there was still some feel of the soft grains.

The bowl had everything - shredded chicken, hand made pork ball, fish slices, soft boiled egg, fried garlic and its aromatic oil, jullienned ginger, etc. All these added their own flavours to the already flavoursome porridge.
