Hill Street char kway teow is an old name in Singapore CKT and possibly the most famous.

I have been eating Hill Street char kway teow since it was... at Hill Street food centre when old uncle Ng was at the wok. Today, the still popular stall has moved to Bedok South food centre and is run by the founder's son and sister who take turns to work the wok.

(26 Jan 2022 visit.) Back at the famous No. 18 Zion Road fried kway teow. We got two $5 plates to share. Just
reeling from had an underwhelming slightly atas (upscale) restaurant lunch nearby and needed something down-to-earth to save the day 🤣 A dose of humble char kway teow never fails to revive jaded palates.

Eaten this countless times but never tire of it as char kway teow is in our DNA. No doubt, Outram Park is still one of Singapore's best char kway teow - it even earned a spot in the Michelin Guide Singapore 2018 (not that we need them to validate our taste).
