Ajmir Briyani📍 Woodlands MRT Ramadan Bazaar📍Admiralty MRT Overhead Bridge ☎️ 8787 1819

When you come to the Ramadan Bazaar at Causeway Point / Woodlands MRT, you will know that the busiest stall here, by far, is Ajmir Briyani.

This is just Ajmir Briyani's bazaar stall, they actually have a permanent shop at Admiralty MRT station.

Action at Ajmir Briyani's bazaar stall is frenetic.

We were entertained to the smell of aromatic spices while standing in the queue.

The staff were doing their utmost to clear the queue. Still it takes at least 30 minutes standing in line to get your turn. Many people buy a few boxes to bring back home to their family to break fast or buka puasa.

Yeah, Ajmir Briyani is for takeaway only. No dining in as it is a bazaar stall. (There is no dine in at the Admiralty MRT shop also.)

Ajmir has chicken, mutton, beef and lamb shank briyani.

Prices start at $8.50 for chicken / beef, $9.50 for mutton, and $20 for lamb shank.

Having waited for so long, I opted for lamb shank to make the time and energy spent worth it.

Woah... when I opened the box, the smell and the amount of rice made me instantly feel I made the right choice for value for money 🤭

Take out the dahl, sauce, and push aside the rice - double confirmed worth the money based on the size of the lamb shank 🍖

I zero-ed on the lamb shank. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. The tender meat was moist, almost juicy.

Ajmir did not hold back on spices. I can taste and smell the spice perfume in the meat. There was a little, pleasant trace of lamb gaminess, the type which I appreciate.

The long grain basmati rice though enveloped in spice and grease felt light, fluffy, tender, softly nutty. The grains while well spiced were not overwhelmingly intense. Flavours and aromas were at just the right intensity for me.

Ajmir Briyani is at the overhead bridge shops at Admiralty MRT station. They have a stall at Woodlands MRT Ramadan Bazaar 2026.
