Wandering around the sprawling 1Utama Shopping Centre for food, we spotted Mak's Chee which is a spin off from the famous Mak's Noodle of Hong Kong. 1Utama, reputedly the sixth largest shopping centre in the world, has a bewildering range of food options. When faced with too much choices, we instinctively fell back on the familiar 😜
This morning, early shoppers at Westgate in Jurong were greeted by thundering drums, crashing cymbals and prancing lions. Today heralds the official opening of the Mak's Noodle outlet at Westgate. (Their first Singapore outlet is at Centrepoint on Orchard Road.)
7 Jul 2015. Today marks the Grand Opening of the first outlet in Singapore of Hong Kong's famous Mak's Noodle. I've read and heard a lot about the famed Mak's Noodles but have never tried it in Hong Kong. So, I am glad that I can try it in Singapore (though I have no reference point of what Mak's is like in HK).
