Johor Kaki had the opportunity to participate in the AirAsia Bloggers' Community Photo Rally & Party 2015 in Bangkok. One hundred bloggers from Asia and Australia took part in the events in Bangkok on 10 Jun 2015.

After breakfast at Eastin Grand Hotel (Sathorn) where we were put up for the night, the 100 bloggers were divided into groups of 5 for the Photo Rally.

Our task was to take wefies at locations which represent Thailand the shopping paradise, a famous Thai shrine, a signature Thai food, a symbol of Thainess and an AirAsia signage.

My Team 6 group photo before setting off.

We had bloggers from Indonesia (Wira), Malaysia (Nisa), China, Vietnam (Minh) and Singapore (me lo). This was the first time we met and we all clicked immediately - instant rapport :-D

Great team.

Awesome teamwork :-D

Rush to wait.

After the Photo Rally brief and flag off, we dashed to the Surasak BTS platform next to our starting point Eastin Grand Hotel. But the train had just left and we had to wait for the next one :-P

We got off to a flying start. Our wefie in front of Siam Paragon shopping centre.

One jump and we got a great shot. Nisa is a real hot shot with her GoPro and selfie stick.

Found our first checkpoint a "Thai shopping mall" within minutes. Finding a shopping mall in Bangkok cannot be that hard, right?

The next checkpoint is a "famous shrine", so we naturally headed for the famed Erawan Shrine which is 5 minutes' dash away.

Next task, wefie with something representing "Thainess". We picked these gleaming golden elephants at the Erawan Shrine.

Three down, 2 more to go. Our spirits were sky high.

Next target, Thai food. Shouldn't be difficult lah, this is the heart of Bangkok after all.

We picked a bowl of spicy tom yam soup for our wefie.

But, it was the next task - to take a wefie with an AirAsia signage that tripped us. You know the feeling, sometimes something is everywhere you turn when you are not looking for it. But, it can never be found when you actually needed it. This was one of those times.

It took us a good 30 stressful minutes darting like escaped convicts around downtown Bangkok before we arrived at Kidzania Bangkok to get that suddenly elusive AirAsia signage. It's at Siam Paragon shopping centre, the place where we started!!

Aiyah!

We were supposed to take a creative wefie with the AirAsia signage. Not sure if laying on the floor making V signs and funny faces qualify ;-p

I think it was quite lame but we ran out of time lah.

Proudly, we were one of the first teams to complete our tasks but not among the first three lah hu hu hu. Still we had lots of fun. We got to know Bangkok better in a fun way and also bonded well with fellow bloggers ;-D

Mission accomplished, it's time for serious makan (to eat). Nisa led us to Puan Farida's restaurant and we had a sumptuous home cooked meal of familiar comfort Malay dishes.

Then, back at Eastin Grand Hotel, it is time to party!!

It was an evening of song, dance, good food and great company.

AirAsia cabin crew are red hot!

Fellow unrepentant partners in this criminal fun, Seth and Tiffany. While still at the party, they were already plotting next year's comeback.... tsk tsk tsk.

On a side note, I would like to compliment AirAsia for a brilliant blogger engagement initiative. Gathering 100 bloggers from all over Asia/ Australia and conducting a full day of interesting activities without any hitch is a remarkable achievement. Congratulations and well done to the team :-D
