Farmstay Relau, Bandar Baharu, Kedah · Ideal for Families & Groups

I stayed two wonderful and restful nights at the beautiful Farmstay Relau in Bandar Baharu in Kedah.

Farmstay Relau

Address: 34950 Serdang, Kedah, Malaysia

Tel: +6012 458 0853

Relau Farmstay has many traditional Malay style houses in stilts. It gives us the feeling of living in a Malay Kampung (village). I always wanted to stay in a house on stilts (and also a tree house ๐Ÿ˜ ).

Such a beautiful house. How I wish I live in one ๐Ÿ˜

Farmstay Relau is located at the border of Penang and Kedah state, so it is a convenient base to explore the best that these two states offer.

My huuge wooden house, well... to enjoy for two nights ๐Ÿ˜

The rooms are accessed through stairs, so folks or family members with mobility challenges like wheelchair users do take note.

The room was simply huge!

The room is well equipped with all the basic amenities equivalent to star rated hotels.

It is air conditioned, has many fans, and mosquito net to keep the mozzies out.

The shower and toilet was big. There is a rain shower which I love ๐Ÿšฟ

All toiletries and towels are provided like at a star rated hotel

We can chill at the pool. There's also activities like ATV riding around the property and its surroundings.

During our visit, we were treated to a welcome silat display, tree planting, traditional cooking and craft demonstrations. I am sure these could be arranged for your group too with coordination with Farmstay Relau.

Enjoy nature, take only photos, leave only footprints and a tree for future generations.

Making kueh karas the traditional way.

Kueh karas is a sweet crispy rice cracker found mainly in Kedah. It has a very long history.

Labu sayong, traditional Malay jar making demonstration.

I slept so well because the air was so fresh, the environment so peaceful, I woke up fully refreshed for activities of the day.

I want to explore Kedah more as it has a long and fascinating history going back 3000 years. Farmstay Relau would be a good base for me travel around.

Farmstay Relau is also great for families as its grounds is spacious and houses have plenty of room. Farmstay Relau has enough houses and rooms for large corporate events and can support with dining, demonstrations and team building / bonding activities.
