Gopeng Glamping Park · How to Enjoy Nature for People who Hate Camping

First time go glamping ๐Ÿ˜

You know, going camping isn't a natural thing for me.

My memories of camping are from Singapore Army days, decades ago. I don't want to remember them ๐Ÿฅน

Digging trenches till the skin of our palms tear, sleeping on thin plastic sheet on uneven ground. It always rained when we were outfield. The nights were wet and cold, rain water passed like rivers under our exhausted bodies, the flimsy tent neither kept mosquitoes nor the rain out properly.

But, glamping is a completely different thing. It is glamourous camping. Camping with the creature comforts of a Star rated hotel.

That kind of pretentiousness is not natural for me, either ๐Ÿซข Want to camp outdoors, then why not enjoy an authentic experience with Mother nature?

Yeah.... I am susah.... complicated ๐Ÿ˜œ

Two nights at Gopeng Glamping Park changed my mind. So...., never say never, and always keep an open mind ๐Ÿซข

It's very comfortable inside the tent. The bed was thick and just the right softness for me. The heavy linens were fresh and clean. There were air conditioning and dehumidifier. There're electricity outlets, lights, so it's really like a typical hotel room.

No mosquitoes or creepy crawlies joined me during my two night stay ๐Ÿ˜„ All I did was just keep the tent zipped up.

Only things were, there's no TV, and toilet / showers were communal. But, there're plenty of showers steps from the tents, so I didn't have to wait much even though the glamping park was full when we were there.

Security was good as we were provided with padlocks for our tents and the park office was just steps away.

Whatever we think about sleeping outdoors in the woods, we always wake up feeling so fully refreshed and super recharged. It must be the pristine air in the bosom of Mother nature.

Gopeng Glamping Park provided the meals buffet style during our stay.

They have Western as well as local favourites.

I enjoyed their local delights most ๐Ÿ˜‹

There are many activities at Gopeng Glamping Park such as riding ATVs around the lake, hills, plantations and villages.

River rafting was thrilling and must not be missed!

At night, we were entertained by a heart stopping fire show.

Seriously for future foodies trips to Ipoh, instead of the usual hotels / Airbnb in the city, Gopeng Glamping Park is an interesting option - thanks to its convenient location just 30 minutes drive from Ipoh.

We can take part in the activities provided by GGP on some days. Other days we go eat, shop and play in Ipoh, Tanjung Tualang, Kampar and everything in between such as the historic TT5 tin dredger.

  2. I hate glamping too. Reminds me of field camp and staying inside the medical tent. ๐ŸŒš
