I have been following Moonlight Cake House since 2013 in Johor Bahru. The Johor homegrown brand has since expanded to Kuala Lumpur and now in Kuantan 👏👏👏
I always like the joyful, cheery vibes at Moonlight Cake House outlets in Johor Bahru and the same buzz is now here in Kuantan 🕺
The same happy dilemma with so many cakes, pastries, breads, savoury dishes (pasta, ramen, pizza, burgers, etc) and drinks to choose from! 🤭
Moonlight is a nice place to chill. Spacious, clean, bright, air conditioned, friendly, comfortable and the nice food, cakes and drinks are reasonably priced.
Kuantan's Moonlight outlet is conveniently located at Air Putih.
I couldn't remember the names of these cakes (they were picked randomly based on their looks 😄 🤭 ) but they were all as delicious as they were pretty! All lovingly hand crafted at the outlet here.
I enjoyed this ramen in a stone pot as the noodles were soft, silky slurpy smooth, and the piping hot golden colour broth was nicely balanced savoury sweet.
This is called Volcano Lava Pizza. The browned baked dough was slathered with tomato sauce, molten cheese, and a mound of crisp outside, moist inside charcoal fried chicken with erupting lava cheese sauce 😲
I remember my first spicy aglio olio with mushrooms at Moonlight at Bukit Indah in Johor Bahru. They do a nice one at Moonlight in Kuantan too. Al dente spaghetti with umami from mushrooms, parmesan cheese, buttery butter, fragrant olive oil, and hot sting from the fiery bird's eye chili pepper.
Freshly ground, freshly brewed, robust aromatic espressos.
For beverages, there are so many fanciful hot and cold concoctions.
After chilling out, we browsed the bakes and pastries section, and took some home to enjoy with family (yeah, all the way back to Singapore 😊 ).
A year since venturing into Kuantan, Moonlight Cake House has a fast growing local following who like the cakes, savoury dishes, hot and cold, traditional and innovative beverages offered here.
