The dining room is spacious and bright, the decor is elegant in its simplicity, the furnishings are comfortable, the ambiance is casual and relaxed. It is a nice place to hangout and meet up.
I love their coffee brewed with house roasted El Salvador and Columbian Arabica. The medium roasted blend had smooth round body and tasted richly nutty chocolaty with subtle citrusy notes.
The rich cream of mushroom soup was made with mushroom, butter, garlic, onion, fresh cream, milk and dressed with parsley.
The freshly made creamy rich soup was smooth with soft bits of mushroom and tasted savoury sweet. Homely yet delicious.
Parmentier de Confit de Canard $35++
Love this duck confit - the pulled baked duck meat was covered in mashed potato. The slivers of duck meat were soft-tender, juicy with a savoury flavour and subtle duck gaminess. The savoury sweet mashed potato infused flavours from the duck and complemented it with its own savoury sweet taste and creamy soft texture.
Duck lovers (I am one) got to order this.
The skin of the sea bass fillet was perfectly seared to a delicate crisp with a nice smokey savoury taste. The white meat below was soft-tender and juicy. It tasted sweet with the characteristic subtle earthly tone of sea bass fish.
The sea bass was complemented by a sweet savoury sauce du chef and smooth mash parsnip with a bundle of crunchy sautéed green bean.
Carré D'agneau Avec Gratin Dauphinois $36++
I cut a piece off that medium rare lamb rack to taste - it was wonderfully savoury sweet with the subtle taste of lamb and a bit of smokiness from the slight sear at the fringe.
HENRI's set lunch menu looks interesting and reasonably priced. Can consider for a nice lunch meet up, catch up in the Central Business District.
The dinner menu which we tried three dishes today. That chef's burger looks interesting to try for my next visit.
