After clearing immigration at JB CIQ, walk through customs and follow the signs / arrows out.
Follow and keep going, you will make a right turn and come to a walkalator.
At the end of the walkway, you will go down two escalators. Keep walking forward.
When you reached this point (after going down two escalators), you will see another escalator on your left.
If you see this, you have overshot the escalator by a few steps. The JB Sentral on this sign refers to the train station. Pusat Bandaraya refers to City Centre (it will lead you to City Square Mall).
Turn back. The escalator to the bus interchange is just steps behind you from this point.
Take the two flights of escalators down to the ground level.
Turn left and you will see a mamak (Indian Muslim) eatery with a couple more stalls and JB Sentral bus interchange on your left.
From JB Sentral you can take a comfortable air conditioned public bus to many places in Johor Bahru.
