Our sumptuous dinner was at Piman Terrace at Rancho Charnvee Resort & Country Club before calling it a day in Khao Yai, and returning to Bangkok the next morning 😄 It was a nice capping stone to an interesting trip to Khao Yai.
Piman Terrace's decor is like a tarven type of establishment during the horse drawn carriage era. Rustic Western frontier town feel.
There's a well stocked poolside bar.
The bar and entire terrace are under the canopy of a giant Piman tree, hence the name Piman Terrace.
We can see part of the Piman tree canopy here.
I like the casual poolside ambiance with movie screening. We enjoyed a delicious and fun evening here.
The dishes were prepared in the kitchen of Chez Sonia, a fine Tuscany (southern) Italian restaurant (at the other end of the pool, just steps away from Piman Terrace).
I love freshly baked sourdough with olive oil and balsamic vinegar so much that I sometimes unknowingly made myself half full before the main courses were served 😂
Nibbled at crisp and chewy inside Calamari Fritti to start our salivary glands cranking 😄
Buratta Salad. Bursty creamy burrata cheese on a carpet of fresh juicy cherry tomatoes drenched in olive oil 😋

Lobster Spaghetti or Spaghetti alla Aragosta THB1590++ (around SGD62++).
Chez Sonia's signature dish, the pasta was done al dente, enveloped in a savoury subtly tangy sauce with lots of fresh cherry tomatoes. The centrepiece was a whole meaty, succulent Maine lobster.
Rib-eye Steak.
Beautifully done medium. Tender juicy beefy umami.
Anutin Pasta Vongole THB460++ (around SGD18++).
Seafood spaghetti with lots of umami and some spicy heat is one of my favourite ways to enjoy al dente pasta 😋
Carbonara Romana.
RCV DUO Signature Pizza fresh from the oven of Chez Sonia.
Half topped with parma ham and half with truffle. THB1500++ (around SGD58++).
They were so generous with the truffle 😁
The obligatory tiramisu THB380++ (around SGD15++).
Chocolate Lava.
Lots of cocktails, mocktails and spirits to go with the dishes. Creative mixes by the experienced mixologists at Piman Terrace Bar.
Enjoyed fine Italian in casual yet romantic poolside ambiance. Piman Terrace is good for special occasions and also a night out with the guys & gals.
