Johor Kaki was invited to try out the Ramadan buffet at Thistle Hotel.

The numerous food stalls were set up under a tall canopy in the airy grand court yard at the Lower Ground level. I feel I was exploring a Ramadan bazaar in the garden.

Guests take their food from the stalls and enjoy their dinner in the spacious adjacent Grand Ball Room.

The guests were entertained with traditional Samrah performance while enjoying the sumptuous buffet spread.

Thistle's Ramadan buffet is the brainchild of Executive Chef Imran. 22 years of culinary experience under his belt including a stint in the UK with Jom Malaysia (UK), Imran credits his mum for his achievements. Imran said that he was inspired by mum's cooking at his hometown in Kulim, Kedah.

Let's take a look at the colours and flavours at Thistle Hotel's Ramadan feast.

With so much meat to choose from, I love to have some fresh vegetables for balance.
