Vanilla Bean is located inside Senibong Cove, a cluster of marina residential developments just 30 minutes drive from the JB CIQ. It is easy to get here with a navigation app like Waze etc.
At the gantry, just inform the security guards that you are going to the cafe. They will let you in without requiring documents. Many people go to Vanilla Bean everyday 😄
Vanilla Bean is located in a shop lot at the ground level of WaterEdge, a highrise condominium. It is just about 100 metres straight ahead from the guard house.

Inside Vanilla Bean, the layout and furnishings are simple, neat and clean. Customers sit on one side and they have full view of the barista and pâtisser team at work making all the food and drinks. I always enjoy watching people make food 😄

I had a Colombian Cuatro Esquinas cappuccino. The coffee tasted fruity, chocolaty and sweet. I enjoyed it.
Vanilla Bean's signature hand brewed Ethiopia Kochere Debo infused with tangerine, floral and Earl Grey, and topped with orange fragrance. Light and refreshing with fruit and perfume over the underlying Arabica.
This was my first time tasting coffee with infused flavours. I enjoyed it.
Spicy Baked Eggs. Tomato sauce with chopped capsicum etc blanketed with cheese and topped with two sunny side up eggs, eaten with sticks of crispy toast.
A mildly sweetish light fluffy house made charcoal waffle topped with a vanilla gelato enveloped with mildly savoury salted egg yolk sauce.
Moist and very creamy Carrot Cake. Cinnamon based cake studded with chopped walnuts, raisins, grated carrot and generously slathered with vanilla lemon cream cheese frosting.
Strawberry Shortcake. (Must be very nice lo.... . Harry ate it all before I had any chance to taste this 😂 )
Prices are competitive with similar cafes in Johor Bahru.
👉 Top notch coffee enjoyed with artisanal cakes and light meals (all day brunch). I like Vanilla Bean's location away from the usual hustle and bustle of downtown or business hub locations. It's a good hide out to chill and enjoy a nice cuppa and some nice cakes and pastries in peace and quiet.
