We stayed two nights (three days) at The Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket when we were in Phuket island. We enjoyed the very comfortable room, splendid view of Patong town and the Andaman Sea, good food and service, peaceful resort ambiance, coupled with convenience of quick, easy access to the legendary Patong Beach.

Convenient Location 🏖

The Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket Patong is located on a hill slope. At the base of the hill is Novotel Phuket Resort.

The Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket Patong is 200 metres or less than 5 minutes leisurely stroll up the slope from the base of the hill. The Andaman Beach Hotel provides free buggy for guests' convenience (but I enjoyed the walk).

The fabled Patong Beach is just 250 metres from The Andaman Beach Hotel. Patong Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Phuket.

The Andaman Beach Hotel is right at the northern edge of the 3 km long Patong Beach strip. The entire strip is lined with bars and chock a block with restaurants, cafes, clothing and trinket stalls. Patong Beach nightlife is legend.

Take a taxi or take an easy walk heading south to all the excitement that the famed Patong Beach offers. The Andaman Beach Hotel is at the edge of Patong Beach's party headquarters but not near enough to be disturbed by the pulsating noise of all night partying, so we can get a good night of rest after a whole day of fun. Best of both worlds, really.

The Food! 😋

The hotel lobby opens 24/7, is spacious, bright, breezy, open and had a welcoming, resort ambiance with an immediate calming effect on me on arrival from Singapore.

Salt & Sea Breeze restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served is connected seamlessly with the lobby with the same open, bright, resort feel.

Salt & Sea Breeze serves both international and Thai cuisine. The menu is a la carte and they provide table service. There is no self service buffet.

During our two night (three day) stay at The Andaman Beach Hotel, we tried both international and Thai dishes. We enjoyed ourselves as the ingredients were fresh and dishes were skilfully prepared.

I like these crispy prawn rolls so much that I ordered this twice during my stay.

Whatever you choose, round it up with mango sticky rice with coconut milk 😄

Facilities 

The pool is located on the way from the lobby / restaurant to the rooms. As Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket consists of separate buildings set on a hill slope, access between buildings is by a combination of stairs and lifts.

The gym is good sized and well equipped though I didn't stay long enough to have time to use it.  The Andaman Beach Hotel is a low rise resort with just 161 rooms, so there is no crush of guests crowding the restaurant and facilities. 

The Room 🛏

I checked into my room around sunset, tired and sweaty.

I was pleased as the room was spacious, very well kept, very clean and free of odour (my pet peeve is cigarette odour and I can't sleep if there is cigarette smell).

Though a low rise resort, as The Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket Patong perches on a hill slope, it affords some of the most picturesque views of Patong town, the Andaman Sea and Phuket sunset.

I'll be happy to wake up to this view again on my next trip to Phuket. The Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket Patong has the sweet spot of good value, convenient location, good room, facilities, food, service and view. They have regular offers on room rates, so I will be checking them out on future Phuket trips.
