Restaurants_From_Spain

This year, 16 Spanish restaurants in Singapore received their prestigious Restaurants From Spain award from Her Excellency Mercedes Alonso Frayle, Ambassador of Spain in Singapore.

If you are looking for a good Spanish restaurant in Singapore, the Spanish government is giving you a helping hand. They actually did all the legwork, homework for us, so we know which ones we can go to for an authentic Spanish meal in Singapore (saving us calories, time, money 🙏 ).

All the restaurants that have the “Restaurants From Spain” certificate share a feeling of Spanish gastronomy based on genuine roots, ingredients, recipes, and quality.

"Restaurants From Spain" is not merely a matter of making a list. Besides certification, the awarded restaurant’s team will receive advanced, specialised training in both Spanish gastronomy and wines. Invited chefs from awarded restaurants are hosted to study visits to top restaurants in Spain. This will enable the awarded restaurants to expand their menu and raise their quality further.

"Restaurants From Spain" is not just a marketing, or public relations exercise but a holistic cultural programme with heart and Spanish pride.

The Restaurant From Spain certificate will boost the restaurant's business and consequently demand for Spanish products, thus rising the presence and appreciation of fine Spanish food (for example, excellent beef) and wine around the world.

"Restaurants from Spain" certificate program is run by ICEX Spain, the government agency responsible for promoting Spanish firms internationally. "Restaurants from Spain" in Singapore was launched in 2021 with 12 restaurants awarded. This year, 2023, the list grew to 16 reflecting the growth of authentic Spanish gastronomy in Singapore (despite the Covid pandemic from 2020 to 2022).

Restaurants from Spain is a list we can trust 🇪🇸 I call them restaurants with Spanish soul. I am going to work eat through the list one restaurant at a time 🤭 😋

Watch out for the list in 2024, as promising emerging Spanish restaurants like TINTO have just opened.
