Always wanted to try Seng Heng Braised Duck at Redhill but it was elusive as it only opens from 7:30am to 9:30am. Finally got to tick it off the bucket list after getting out of bed before 6am 😅
There were people waiting for Seng Heng to open and the queue got long quickly as the morning progresses.
The stallholders were a bit camera shy but I managed to snap a couple of shots 🤭
Work was brisk as the line grew long very quickly.
Though popular with residents nearby, Seng Heng is not high on the social media radar mainly because it opens only from 7:30am to 9:30am.

First time here, I ordered this duck noodle set dry for $5.30.
I asked for breast because for duck, I prefer breast over thigh, etc.
Most of the duck breast was cut quite thick but it was no issue here. The duck meat was soft-tender moist. There was no coarse, fibrous chewiness at all. The meat tasted gently sweet savoury with subtle duck gaminess. Nice.
There was a lot of drippy soupy sauce.
The soupy, greasy sauce was quite robustly savoury spicy with a bit of ducky taste, so delicious! The sprinkle of fried shallot added its flavour and aroma.
I asked for kway teow. Their kway teow is the broader, thicker type I prefer. They were wholly wrapped up with the robust savoury sweet spicy ducky sauce. Slurpy delicious 😋
The tasty soup, savoury sweet ducky was very similar to the sauce but much lighter. It's a good complement, providing moderating balance to the robust sauce.
Old folks' meal 🤭, everything soft-tender but rich with old school flavours. Love it.
Their soup version seemed to be quite popular. I stole this photo from another customer.
Continued to stalk Redhill hawker centre to get pro-tips on how to get the best out of Seng Heng Braised Duck Noodle.
I struggled a bit but decided to take a rain check for all this. Cannot eat too much lah 😬
Definitely an excellent duck noodle that l would recommend and will be coming back for.
