Yong Chun Wan Ton Noodle vs Kim Huat Wanton Mee 📍115 Bukit Merah View 永春 PK 金发云吞面

115 Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre has at least three wanton noodle stalls. The two more popular ones are Yong Chun 永春 and Kim Huat 金发. (I need to come back for the third stall R & D Wanton Noodles.)

Bucket Roast Chicken & Taiwan Street Food📍Fortune in Your Mouth Stall @ 161 Bukit Merah 有口福 桶仔鸡 ☎️+65 9359 4445

We gathered at Fortune in Your Mouth 有口福 stall at SG Kopitiam coffee shop in 161 Bukit Merah Central. My first time here, I was expecting just Fortune Mouth's famous roast chicken 桶仔鸡 but found out that the little stall has a lot more dishes to offer. It's like a mini restaurant in a coffee shop.

At Bukit Merah Central Food Centre, there's Day Night (yes it is called Day Night) and there's Fong Sheng fried kway teow, both have their loyal following judging by the daily queues at both stalls.

Chef Benny Se Teo told me about this no signboard fish soup · pork organ soup stall at Bukit Merah in the same coffeeshop as Poh Cheu Teochew kueh stall. Rong Fa (Mui Siong) Pork Liver @ Bukit Merah · Same Sans the Queue of Veerasamy Road 榮發(梅松)肉脞面

Rong_Fa_(Mui_Siong)_Pork_Liver_Bukit_Merah_榮發(梅松)肉脞面

I am a fan of Mui Siong Minced Meat Noodle stall's thick soft-crunchy pork liver but I haven't been there for a very long time, put off by the hour long queue at Veerasamy Road. So, when I heard about a branch in Bukit Merah Central known as Rong Fa, I quickly went there to calm my liver craving. The two stalls are almost the same in taste.

Pang's Hakka Noodles @ Sprout Hub. The Best Hakka Mee in Singapore? 小彭客家面

Pang's_Hakka_Noodles_小彭客家面

As chef Benny slurped up his noodles noisily across the table, I can smell the aroma of the blend of lard, shallot oil and juices from sautéed pork which transported me straight to Seremban, home of my favourite Hakka noodles. Thanks to chef Pang, now we can have it right here in Singapore. Better still, chef Pang's version comes with delicious accompanying yong tau foo and soups.
