SELA Restaurant in Singapore - Tapas Menu

SELA_Restaurant_Singapore_Tapas

I am a tapas fan because I love the aromas, flavours, colours and also the drinks and conversations that come with it.

So, I am glad that SELA Restaurant at Seah Street has just introduced their tapas menu which is served from 5:00pm to 7:00pm daily.

The tapas at SELA are all the personal creations of Chef Shahrom who will be playing with his Japanese charcoal grill and real flames to create treats that please the eyes, noses as well as taste buds. To retain as much of the natural juices and flavours as possible, Shahrom turns the food on the charcoal grill only once.

I sampled a few of Shahrom's tapas and loved every one of them :D

The salmon cubed, skewered and flame grilled are served on sea salt plates. SELA is the only restaurant that I know of in Singapore that uses these unique sea salt plates.

Sea salt plates allow the natural sea minerals to slowly be absorbed into the food, enhancing the taste.

As Shahrom so eloquently put it, "put the sea back into the seafood".

SELA's tapas pair perfectly with their exclusive, exquisite Japanese craft beers.

If you are looking for a chill out place which is easily accessible, where ambiance is understated yet elegant, service is attentive and gracious, music is romantic and mellow, and the food and beers are excellent while prices stay reasonable, I recommend SELA.

Here is my earlier, first visit to SELA.

Thank you Leonard and Marie for the invite and hospitality.
