Tong Heng's signature diamond shaped egg tart is synonymous with
Singapore egg tart. You won't find this in Hong Kong, Macau or
Portugal.
A couple of days ago, I bumped into fourth generation Tong Heng boss, Fong Wai Keong at Jurong Point mall. Over kopi and cendol at Malaysia Boleh! food court, Wai Keong shared with me his great grandfather's story - the Tong Heng story.
