Delhi Lahori Indian & Pakistani Cuisine Michelin Recommended📍Tekka Centre ☎ 81777929

I love all types of breads and one of my favourite is naan, fresh from the tandoor oven.

Naan is fairly common in Singapore, especially in Little India and one of the most popular is from Delhi Lahori stall in Tekka Centre (ground floor stall #01-266).

Delhi Lahori's menu ranges from naan, to chapati and rice to keema, masala, and kebabs, etc.

Everything is made fresh at the stall, many with the charcoal fired tandoor oven.

First time here, I opted for the popular butter chicken naan set.

Two huge pieces of freshly baked plain naan on Styrofoam plate and butter chicken masala (murgh makhani) in a Styrofoam bowl. Plastic single use utensils.

Three chunks of chicken in a fiery looking masala.

The naan had leopard spots outside, while inside it was soft, pillowy, doughy, stretchy and slightly chewy to the bite.

It tasted very subtly sweetish inside with slight smoky toastiness from the leopard spots outside.

(There is option to swop this for butter / garlic / cheese naan for a nominal additional cost - shall try it next time.)

Broke pieces of naan and dipped them into the butter chicken masala.

Despite its fiery look, the masala was savoury sweet with just hints of spicy heat.

Three chunks of tender boneless, skinless tandoori grilled chicken. Not much flavour in the chicken meat and the tomato puree in the masala was neither sweet nor tangy. Couldn't detect any butter, cream, nor spice taste or aroma.

There weren't enough of masala for the two huge naan.

Making sheekh kebabs.

Next time, I shall have my naan with sheekh kebab. Would love to try Delhi Lahori's keema with chapati or naan too. So many dishes in Delhi Lahori's menu, I need to return a few times to try more food to do the stall justice.

After enjoying my meal, I like to sit down with a drink right in front of the stall and write down my thoughts on the spot.

This coconut for SGD$2.70 from the drinks stall beside. Love it.
