It could be because it was my first time tasting asam pedas and I was fortunate enough to taste it in Batu Pahat, the asam pedas Capital of Malaysia.
I was simply wowed and bowled over by the amazing taste and flavour of the ikan pari (stingray) at Ali Asam Pedas along Jalan Shahbandar in Batu Pahat.
This amazing asam pedas ikan pari with a plate of steam white rice costs RM4 |
The tender flesh of the ikan pari soaks up the asam pedas like a sponge |
The pot of asam pedas made from asam, chillies and secret spices need constant stirring |
