Today, foodie buddy Lee KC brought us to taste this pork noodle at 沙威猪肉丸, an old shop which everyone in Kelapa Sawit (Kulai district) knows.

Buddy Lee is a true blue Kelapa Sawit boy and grew up with this pork noodle shop which was founded by Mr Liew over 50 years ago. 沙威猪肉丸 operated from a wooden shack before moving into this simple shop lot.

Today, this pork noodle shop is run by Ms Lee, the founder's daughter-in-law. Ms Lee who ran the shop for over 10 years now, said the pork noodles are still prepared the same way as her father-in-law's time.

There are various kinds of yellow and rice noodles - we opted for kway teow and lou shi fun (rat tail noodle) which came buried in a pool of heavy looking dark sauce and minced pork.

Folding the soft kway teow in the thick slick sauce enveloped the rice noodles with nicely balanced savoury sweet flavours. I enjoyed these slurpy smooth flavoursome rice noodles.

We had this bowl of clear soup with pork innards and lean pork slices. The clear pork broth was slightly sweet and clean tasting with a bit of gentle spicy flavour from the julienned young ginger.

The pork innards like liver and intestines were nicely done - tender and naturally sweet.

I like this pork organ soup a lot as it relied on fresh natural flavours for taste.

We also had a bowl of yong tau foo and pork balls.

The little house made, dimpled pork balls were bouncy and clean tasting with a subtle porcine sweetness. It's very likable if you enjoy gentle and mild flavours - I do 😋

The boss Ms Lee hand makes the pork balls every morning so we always get them fresh.
