We visited the AnMour Cafe outlet in Taman Pelangi this afternoon. This hugely successful JB homegrown brand started in 2011 in Sutera Utama. AnMour Cafe now has 6 outlets in Pelangi, Mount Austin, Gaya, Permas Jaya, Sutera Utama, and the newest in Kulai.
AnMour Cafe is positioned as "A Casual American Cafe". Though it doesn't look like those colourful, iconic American diners, the inside of AnMour Cafe is bright, cool, clean, simply laid out and very comfortable with thick cushion booth seats.
AnMour Cafe's American inspired menu is anchored on "Pasta, Burgers and Steaks". The three founders of AnMour Cafe Alexander Lim, Jerick Phang and Cayden Oon are in their twenties and thirties - their amazing success based on good food, reasonable prices, comfortable environment and friendly service - hardly secrets at all but every F & B owner knows how hard it is to stay committed to these proven principles.
Service is attentive, quick and cheerful at AnMour Cafe. The friendly and knowledgeable staff patiently guided us through the menu and the ongoing promotions. (This month's special is Oktoberfest - of course.)
After taking our orders, we were served soft buns with a peppery dip while our food is being prepared.
Sesame Shrimp Cold Pasta Salad RM11.90.
The salad is dressed with Lady's Choice REAL mayonnaise blended with sesame oil which tastes sweet and savoury with nutty sesame taste and aroma.
Classic Caesar Salad with Bacon Bits RM9.90.
The Caesar Salad is dressed with Lady's Choice mayo blend with a tangy salty sweet taste.
Tossed with the leafy lettuce, bacon bits, crouton and egg wedges, it's a delicious appetiser.
Salmon Bruschetta with Hollandaise Sauce RM9.90.
Light crispy baguette slices slathered with salmon mash and smothered with eggy Hollandaise sauce made with Lady's Choice REAL mayo.
Signature Rosemary Chicken Chop RM15.90.
The fresh chicken leg is baked then seared to a slight crisp outside. The sizzling chicken chop is dressed with Lady's Choice REAL mayo blended with honey and grainy mustard before serving.
The tender chicken's juicy sweet savoury flavour is well complemented by honey mustard sauce which is sweet tangy with subtle spicy notes.
3-Star (out of 5). We enjoyed ourselves at AnMour Cafe. It's a no frills eatery with good service and simple yet comfortable environment.
The dishes we tried were all delicious and competitively priced. Highly recommend AnMour Cafe for simple, casual Western style meals in Johor Bahru.
