Today, we visited the Kafe Rasa Ria in Rengit. Looking through their extensive menu of Western style dishes and local favourites, we opted for their chicken chops. We are chicken chop lovers 😀
I like it that at Kafe Rasa Ria, we can choose any two of the 7 sauces or dressing for our orders.
The RM12 grilled chicken chop is huge. The chicken leg is flattened and spread like slices of toast bread. It is grilled to a slight crisp outside and then liberally slathered with hot & spicy sauce and cheesy dressing - the two, I chose.
The tender grilled chicken flesh was quite salty but we were still able to taste the chicken's natural sweetness.
The hot & spicy sauce is salty and spicy with a very mild sting that lingers fleetingly.
The cheesy dressing is cheese powder which tastes salty sweet and cheesy (of course).
RM12 Fried Chicken Chop - again it's huge.
The huge pieces of fried chicken leg were crispy outside - in fact, the batter was a little hard. We like it that there was almost no grease on the crispy outside.
The chicken flesh inside was a little thin but it was juicy and had a nice chicky sweetness.
I enjoyed that mayonnaise dip which was sweetened Lady's Choice REAL mayo - it tastes mostly sweet balanced with some tanginess. Nice!
Inside Kafe Rasa Ria, it is spacious, cheerful and bright. The furnishings are simple yet sturdy and comfortable.

3-Star (out of 5). We like the chicken chops at Kafe Rasa Ria because it has natural chicky sweetness and are well fried or grilled. I like to eat their chicken chops with their sweet mayo dip 😃
