In my old job, attending and working during airshows is part and parcel of my life. Now, I look forward to mega food and hospitality industry events like Food&HotelAsia FHA - something I didn't even think I'll be doing just 5 years ago.
There were just so many fascinating things to see and learn. To give you an idea, here are just a few of the hundreds of exhibitors I visited. (There were over 3,000 exhibitors at FHA2016 from all around the world filling all 10 halls at Singapore Expo.)
Señorita from La Prudencia in Spain showing off her skills in carving Iberian ham and enjoying herself :-D Laura is from the family that owns La Prudencia farm.
At the Philippines pavilion, we were fascinated by the organically grown black rice from Cotabato province by Bios Dynamics.
Shaman Spirits from Finland at ProWine Asia

She has a long road ahead.
I think she will go far.

Such a sweet candy man from Delightland, the Turkish Confectionery Promotion Group.
First time seeing bonito in wood block form (Katsuobushi or dried fillet). It's made from smoked tuna and served in "wood shaving" form. Learnt something new today. Learning opportunities like this, is what keeps me coming back to Food&HotelAsia.

Food&HotelAsia is an excellent platform for tradespeople to network, share knowledge and nurture the next generation of talent.
Seventy two thousand (72,000) people attended FHA2016, making it a resounding success. Nearly half the attendees were from overseas. Many deals were struck at the show and more leads are being followed up.
The next FHA will be held on 24-27 April 2018, and it will be even bigger. It will be held in two locations, EXPO and SUNTEC City to accommodate more exhibitors.
I am sure many people are looking forward to that.
