Singapore Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Champion @ Beauty World Centre Level 4 Food Court

Hong_Kong_Soya_Sauce_Chicken

After enjoying the marvellous beef brisket noodle at Beauty World Centre's Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken stall, we came back today for what else..... - their signature soya sauce chicken. I eat soya sauce chicken a lot at home since learning
how to make it myself in the 1980s, but still got blown away by Beauty World Centre's rendition. Why this stall keeps blowing me away hah? ๐Ÿ˜…

Stall name: Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Noodles Rice

Address: 144 Upper Bukit Timah Rd, #04-48, Singapore 588177 (stall #04-48 at level 4 Beauty World Food Centre)

Nearest MRT: At Beauty World station

Hours: 11:30am - 7:00pm (Weds off)

On first impressions, Beauty World's version looked ordinary - I got the soya sauce chicken drumstick and egg noodles.

The noodles were good, done soft tender with a light crunch. The sauce was simple - gently savoury with slight heat as I opted for a bit of chili.

The noodles were good but the soya sauce chicken
wowed me even more. The meat was soft-tender and super smooth. The silky smooth meat had a bit of tender chewiness (not soft-soft). The meat (not only the skin) was infused with a subtle bit of savoury sweetness. There's a delicate trace of floral fragrance from Chinese rose cooking wine ็Žซ็‘ฐ้œฒ้…’ in the braising stock. It's fine dining finesse at a hawker stall sans the fawning service, expensive ambiance, and pretty plating.

Shrimp_Dumpling

Come to Beauty World Centre's Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken stall must, of course, have their famous giant shrimp dumpling. $1.20 each for fresh meaty sweet prawns and a bit of crunchy black fungus wrapped in thin wanton skin. It comes in a bowl of "superior" soup with depth of savoury umami flavours.

Pro-tip: Today, I waited 45 minutes for my food ๐Ÿ˜… Silly me should have called ahead ๐Ÿ“ž 9060 1138 ๐Ÿ“ž 9455 8797 to save on waiting time. Don't be like Tony.

Surely one of the best soya sauce chicken in Singapore today.

On Saturday and Sunday, must also order their beef brisket noodles. Their sauce is unique and so delicious ๐Ÿ‘ˆ click
