You know, on those evenings when I don't feel like having dinner, I often go to this pasar malam (night market) Teochew kueh stall to get a big bunch of munchies and there will still be plenty for breakfast the next morning 😄
Most of the kueh at this pasar malam stall are good and some like this 馬來糕 is excellent - better even than those at restaurants, no joke.
The stall sells a good yam cake with lots of yam inside.
There are many types of Teochew kueh sold at the stall.
If you want to try these Teochew kueh, be at the pasar malam by 4pm and look out for the light blue Toyota LiteAce van. You will surely see a long queue at the van even though the sun is scorching hot overhead.
Customers crowd around the trays of kueh, sweeping "sapu" them up quickly, "like don't need money like that" - everything gone in 30-40 minutes (like the Great Singapore Sale in Orchard Road during its heydays 😄).
By 4:30pm, most of the popular kuehs will be gone. By 5:00pm the LiteAce van will be gone too, while the other pasar malam stalls are still setting up 😄 The blazing sun hasn't even set yet 😁

I just found out from the boss that the stall is called Sin Dong Fang 新東方.
